COBOURG — The Northumberland Christian School is celebrating 40 years strong.
To mark the anniversary, the school recently invited former students, staff and residents to share memories of four decades of fun, community involvement and excellent education, said Ginette Mack, school principal.
Hundreds of alumni and current families came together to enjoy the festivities, and a gala dinner was hosted in a tent on the school grounds.
The events were a great reminder of how many lives have been impacted over the years since the school first opened in the fall of 1978.
The Northumberland Christian School is a community-run and independently financed school that offers a viable educational alternative for families.
